This project near Cologne is an example of my successful work in the field of conversion and extension of detached houses. In 2000, I was entrusted with the challenging task of transforming an existing house so that it would meet the new requirements without losing its original character.

Challenges

The existing building had to be extended in order to convert the basement into a functional tax office, while the upper floors would continue to serve as living space. Demolition was out of the question, so a well-thought-out plan was needed to integrate the existing structures and accommodate the different uses.
